Physicians: Dr. Bernaiche

Dr. Maurice Bernaiche brings his expertise in the non-surgical care of musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Bernaiche graduated from Maine Maritime Academy with a BS degree in Marine Engineering and a minor in Nuclear Power Systems Management. He sailed ships around the work for ten years before turning his ambitions toward medicine. He then attended the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine,, graduating in 2000. He obtained his training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatry) in Detroit and East Lansing, Michigan, graduating in 2004. After residency, he completed fellowship training in Interventional Pain Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.

He is board certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR), the American Osteopathic Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AOBPMR), the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM), the World Institute of Pain (WIP).

Dr. Bernaiche is a Fellow member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (AAPMR), a Fellow member of the American Osteopathic Associated (AOA), member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (ASIPP), the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine (AANEM), and the International S8ine Intervention Society (ISIS). Dr. Bernaiche’s medical interests are in sports medicine, musculoskeletal disorders, work injuries, repetitive use disorders, spinal deformities and pain, osteoporosis compression fracture management as well as neuromuscular diseases. He is proficient and highly skilled in minimally invasive spine injections to manage back and neck pain disorders.

Dr. Bernaiche enjoys sports as a hobby including ice hockey and football. He has been team physician for a Junior-A level hockey team in Lansing, Michigan as well as for the semi-pro hockey team Memphis River Kings in Memphis, Tennessee.
